Hazel is very expressive with her hands. She likes to sleep on them when sleeping upright on someones chest.

Hazel had a check up yesterday, Wednesday, August 13, to check her weight. She had lost quite a bit at first but is now eating like a champ. She now weighs 8.6 lbs at 17 days old. She gained 10oz in the last week. It's not my imagination, she really is eating all the time!

It's a Girl!!

Sarah's water broke at 2:30 am on 7/27. We arrived at the hospital a few hours later and got checked in as her contractions slowly began to increase. Sarah and baby were hooked up and monitored, you can see it is still early because she is still smiling.
Hazel Grace made an early appearance arriving on July 27, 2008 at 9:30 p.m. weighing in at 8 pounds 1.4 ounces and 20 inches tall.

Office baby shower

The ladies in my office threw me a surprise shower on June 4. I was completely unsuspecting so they were very pleased with themselves. It was so much fun to celebrate our baby coming. It was hard to believe it was MY shower! We received an assortment of gifts from our registry but the best was the yellow chenille gider. It is sooo comfortable. We can't wait to rock our little one in it.
